"It Was Pandemonium"

So a Tornado hit my family's house in MS today. Just knocked down trees and took pieces of the outer roof layers. We're going to need a new roof. My dog was outside but is somehow ok. Parents were at work. The neighborhood is a mess though.

Powerful Storms Leave Scattered Damage in Mississippi

An unconfirmed tornado touched down on Highland Colony Parkway in Ridgeland Friday. Emergency officials said several trees were knocked down.At least five people were injured during Friday's storms, according to Jim Pollard with American Medical Response ambulance service. Pollard couldn't give details on the injuries, but said they were storm-related.There was at least one report of a tree falling onto a house in Hinds County. There were also reports of hail, heavy rain, downed trees and strong winds across the Jackson metro area. Entergy reported that more than 12,000 customers were without power in the state.

Friday’s powerful storms knocked out power near downtown Vicksburg and left trees across some roads. Vicksburg police said there had been no immediate reports of injuries. A particularly strong storm left damage to some homes and downed trees in the Ross Barnett Reservoir area.Storms in the Madison and Ridgeland areas forced motorists off highways, and many people sought shelter in businesses until the systems moved to the east.The National Weather Service issued tornado warnings for areas in the path of the fast-moving system that was producing heavy rain, strong wind gusts, lightning and hail.
